Years of SOPs shouldn’t be the reason you stay put. Drop in your old guides and Startt rebuilds each one, with the original wording, every screenshot, chapters and dates. Nothing gets retyped. Nothing gets lost.
What you can bring over
- PDF exports, including multi-page guides. Startt pulls out each screenshot and the instruction that goes with it.
- Word (.docx) files, with headings, bold button names and images.
- HTML and Markdown exports. If your export is a folder with an images folder beside it, zip the folder and import the .zip.
- Screenshots on their own. Select a batch and Startt writes the steps for you.
- Videos from any recorder, including old Loom or Guidde downloads. Startt finds the steps.
How to move in three steps
- Export your guides from the old tool in any format it offers: PDF, Word, HTML or Markdown. Grab as many as you like.
- On startt.xyz, click Import your old guides, or just drag the files onto the page.
- Each file becomes its own guide in your library, tagged with where it came from. Open one to edit, polish or share.
Only have share links?
Open the guide in your browser and use Print → Save as PDF, then import the PDF. Startt reads the screenshots and text straight from it. Saving the page as Webpage, Complete and zipping the result usually works too.
What stays exactly the same
- Your wording. Imported steps keep the original text, including bold button names. Want a refresh? Ask Startt to “make it shorter” or “translate to Spanish” afterwards.
- Your screenshots, at full quality, in the original order.
- Your structure. Section headings become chapters, and the guide keeps its original title and date.
Private by design
Documents are read inside your browser, and imported guides are saved in your browser like everything else in Startt. The only exception: if an HTML or Markdown export points at screenshots hosted online, Startt fetches those images so the guide is complete.

Which tools can I import from?
Anything that exports PDF, Word, HTML or Markdown, which covers Scribe, Tango, Glitter AI, Guidde, iorad, Dubble, Notion, Confluence, Google Docs (download as Word or PDF) and home-made SOPs.
Is importing free?
Yes. Import is included on every plan, including Free, with no limit on the number of guides.
Can I import lots of guides at once?
Yes. Select or drop many files together, or one big zip. Each document becomes its own guide in your library.
What if some screenshots don’t come through?
Startt tells you how many were missed. That usually means the export was a folder, so zip the whole folder and import the zip.
